Jamie Foxx gives huge career update after worrying health scare

Jamie Foxx returned to Instagram to share news of his latest movie with fans months after a scary on-set incident left him hospitalised.

The 55-year-old actor is said to have experienced a "medical complication" back in April while working on his upcoming Netflix film, Back In Action.

But he shared news that another production will be available for fans from next month.

Taking to Instagram, he shared a teaser clip of another Netflix production titled They Cloned Tyrone and confirmed it is set for release on July 21.

In the caption section, Jamie wrote: "It's about to go down."

Jamie is set to star alongside big names such as John Boyega and Teyonah Parris in the production.

The movie's official blurb describes it as: "A series of eerie events thrusts an unlikely trio (Boyega, Parris and Foxx) onto the trail of a nefarious government conspiracy in this pulpy mystery caper."

The filming for the movie was wrapped in April 2021 according to John's Instagram - over two years before Jamie's health scare.

Fans have been concerned about his health following the incident, but his representatives moved last week to slam claims the Covid vaccination was behind his mystery illness.

In a statement, his representatives told told NBC News the claims are "completely untrue".

The unsubstantiated claim is part of a narrative pushed by some far-right personalities to cast doubt on the safety of vaccines, even though studies have confirmed they are safe and effective.

There has been a lot of speculation about Jamie's health scare, with his pal Nick Cannon recently telling fans the actor will share an update "when he's ready".

Previously speaking to Extra TV, Nick said: "One thing I've always respected about how Jamie's moved throughout his entire career, if you've noticed, he's always been somebody who is extremely professional and extremely private."

He continued: "I mean, you don't ever really hear anything other than just the great work that he puts forth as a professional and the fact that, you know, he’s handled this situation with the same manner, you only can respect that.

The Hollywood star is thought to have been spending time in a physical rehabilitation facility in Chicago.
