Jamie Foxx has broken his silence after spending three weeks in hospital with a mystery illness.
The actor, 55, took to Instagram on Wednesday to tell his 17 million followers how he feels “blessed” and “appreciates” all their love, followed by praying hands, heart and fox emojis.
He also gave a shout out to friend Nick Cannon who has filled in on hosting duties for him on the popular game show Beat Shazam, sharing: “Appreciate ya my boy Nick Cannon, see you all soon.”
Foxx is currently resting at a medical facility in Georgia, where he is undergoing tests after falling ill in Atlanta on April 11 while filming for upcoming Netflix movie Back in Action alongside Cameron Diaz.
His daughter, Corinne Foxx, 29, gave a health update shortly afterwards, assuring his fans that “he is already on his way to recovery”.
“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery,” she wrote on social media.
Adding: “We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family.”
No further details on the star’s condition have been shared so far and it is unclear what kind of medical emergency Foxx suffered from.
