Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has praised Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag for how he has dealt with Cristiano Ronaldo since taking over at Old Trafford in the summer.
The Portugal international walked down the tunnel before the full-time whistle on Wednesday night, with the 37-year-old an unused substitute in the impressive 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo has since been dropped from the Reds' squad to face Chelsea this weekend, with Ten Hag has opted to banish the veteran frontman from the squad for the trip to Stamford Bridge after he left the ground early.
