Jamie Carragher celebrated Arsenal’s late weekend winner wildly - and he admits he wants them to win the Premier League.
Speaking in his usual Monday Night Football slot on Sky Sports, the Liverpool legend admitted he was overjoyed when Reiss Nelson's last-gasp strike hit the back of the net.
Arsenal trailed 2-0 at home to relegation-threatened Bournemouth on Saturday before goals from Thomas Partey and Ben White drew them level. However, it looked like Mikel Arteta's table-topping side were set to drop valuable points in the title race with Manchester City until substitute Nelson fired in a stunning 97th-minute effort to seal a dramatic 3-2 victory.

“I was in the car, and I was celebrating,” said Carragher. “Go for it, embrace it. That will be one of those moments that… if Arsenal go on and win the league, that moment will be remembered forever.”
Carragher was no stranger to success during his career. He hung up his boots with a robust silverware collection including three League Cups and two FA Cups domestically with European glory twice in the form of one Champions League and one UEFA Cup.
Carragher's comments came after he jokingly teased his Monday Night Football partner Gary Neville of ‘crying off’ from this week's show, given it came on the back of Liverpool's 7-0 thumping of Manchester United.
The pair exchanged tweets with Neville, a United great, replying: “Behave yourself! Never meant to be on as you well know you! I will be relaxing looking forward to watching you eulogise over a team you’ve killed for two months."
No doubt just a bit of fun, Carragher and Neville always offer a fruitful, entertaining Monday Night Football when working together, with the pair next due on the show to cover Everton's home clash against Tottenham Hotspur on April 3.
