Jamie Carragher has claimed that Manchester City will drop points before the season's end and still allow Liverpool a chance to leapfrog them into top spot.
Jurgen Klopp's men have gifted City the momentum after they were held to a 1-1 draw at home against Antonio Conte's resilient Spurs side, meaning the Reds and City are now level on points. However, due to Liverpool's superior goal difference, they currently occupy first despite the dropped points against Tottenham on Saturday evening.
With that being said, City could go back on top of the pile and put three points between them and their nearest challengers in Liverpool should they beat Newcastle at the Etihad on Sunday. Pep Guardiola's men will be keen to bounce back from their Champions League heartache suffered against Real Madrid in mid-week.
