Jamie Carragher believes FSG chief John Henry will be watching Jude Bellingham and 'feeling anxious' in the understanding that the midfielder's value will be increasing week-on-week.
Bellingham starred once again for England as they cruised to a 3-0 World Cup round-of-16 win against Senegal on Sunday evening. It was his driving run and cutback that fed Jordan Henderson - a glimpse of the future, maybe? - to stroke home the opener on 38 minutes, and it was the 19-year-old whose claiming of a loose ball in the middle of the park set the wheels in motion for Harry Kane to net the second.
Such performances on the world stage will only send Bellingham's value - already expected to be upwards of £100million - through the proverbial roof. Liverpool have long been linked with the teenager but know they will face stiff competition from the seemingly endless wealth coming out of Real Madrid and Manchester City - and former Red Carragher knows the decision-makers of all three sides will be watching on in the knowledge their cheque to Borussia Dortmund is increasing by the minute.

"There will be only three people in the world watching Bellingham in Qatar and feeling anxious – Florentino Pérez, Sheikh Mansour and JW Henry," he wrote in his column for the Telegraph. "The owners of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Liverpool know they will be involved in an auction to get him."
Carragher added: "Paul Gascoigne in Italia ’90. Michael Owen in France ’98. Wayne Rooney in the 2004 Euros. Jude Bellingham in Qatar 2022. England’s midfield prodigy has joined the list of players who have elevated their status to that of a national hero with mastery on the biggest stage. Another stellar display against Senegal confirmed why Bellingham will be the most wanted signature of every top coach before next season.
"Whatever happens against France, or beyond if England get through, his performances have defined those of Southgate’s team. It will not just be England supporters purring at the prospect of seeing where his career takes him. Bellingham is not only an England superstar now.
