Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville are in agreement that next month's meeting between Manchester City and Liverpool at the Etihad will be pivotal in the race for the title.
Jurgen Klopp's Reds make the trip to the home of their title rivals on Sunday, April 9 knowing full well a win could see them suddenly enjoy the status of favourites for the league.
Liverpool will be in high spirits after watching Pep Guardiola's City side fail to break down a resilient Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday night.
The Eagles held on for a 0-0 draw to take a point off of the reigning champions and ensure City's players feel a little less secure in their position as league leaders.

City still boast a four-point lead over Liverpool in the table, but have played one game more.
Klopp's men travel to North London on Wednesday to take on an in-form Arsenal side with plenty to play for themselves, given the Gunners are desperate to finish inside the top four.
Carragher explained how should Liverpool topple Arsenal on their own patch, it could be yet another blow for City before the two sides face off against each other.
"I do feel the next game against Arsenal is absolutely huge. I think if Liverpool win away at Arsenal, psychologically that would really hurt City," the former Reds defender claimed.
"Arsenal away and Manchester City away are the two big problems in Liverpool’s fixture list.
"Manchester City watching at home, Liverpool win at Arsenal, and go within a point and then they play Watford, you expect them to beat Watford."
The former England international went on to admit the season's most important games are the next few.
"I actually think the fixtures, the next four for Liverpool and the next three for Manchester City could play a massive part. I do think the toughest games are right upon us right now."
Neville echoed Carragher's sentiments while explaining how he doesn't expect either side to drop points for the rest of the term.
"15 years ago I would be sat here now saying 'there’s such a long way to go, both teams will drop points on the way in' because that’s how it always was.
"But these two two teams have gone at it in the last few years and not dropped points, they just win every game."
The former United star continued to wax lyrical about the two sides, adding: "Liverpool have won the last eight, City have won 16 out of 18 before tonight [Monday], it’s obscene.
"The records are incredible. To be where they’re at at that level and continually doing it, at this point in the season when they’re still in all the competitions is absolutely fantastic.
"That game in a couple of weeks is huge. Bernardo Silva referred to it already, you always hear players saying ‘we’re concentrating on the next game’ but that game is in the players’ minds."
Carragher went one further and explained how both sides will go down in history for their achievements.
"We are watching two of the greatest teams we’ve seen in the Premier League. These are the two best teams in Europe. No doubt about that.
