Jamie Carragher believes Arsenal won't 'come close' to the Champions League next season after they recently failed to qualify for the competition.
The Gunners finished fifth in the Premier League in the 21/22 campaign as they narrowly missed out on Champions League football to north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Although finishing fifth with such a young squad is a decent achievement, Mikel Arteta would've been disappointed by the Gunners' end to the season, as they lost crucial games to Spurs and Newcastle in the run-in for top four.
Whilst Edu and Co are expected to add depth to Arteta's squad in the coming months, Carragher doesn't think it'll be enough to help them leapfrog any of Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool or Manchester City in the table.
