Jamie Carragher disagrees with Alan Shearer on Trent Alexander-Arnold verdict for World Cup

Alan Shearer Jamie Carragher Liverpool Trent AlexanderArnold Kieran Trippier World Cup Gareth Southgate Jurgen Klopp Newcastle England

Jamie Carragher disagrees with Alan Shearer over Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The Reds full-back has been the subject of speculation regarding his selection for the England squad at this winter’s World Cup in Qatar. After it was confirmed earlier on Thursday, Gareth Southgate has selected Alexander-Arnold in his 26-man squad.

Newcastle’s Kieran Trippier has also been selected, along with Manchester City’s Kyle Walker in the right-back position. Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson was also included in the squad, but there was no place for his team-mate Joe Gomez.
