Jamie Carragher believes that Manchester United made a mistake by re-signing Cristiano Ronaldo last season and has questioned whether any club would be willing to sign him in January.
Ronaldo shocked the football world on Sunday evening when clips from an interview with Piers Morgan were published. In what appears to be wide-ranging conversation, the forward took aim at the club, Erik ten Hag, Ralf Rangnick and Wayne Rooney.
For many it would seem that the 37-year-old's association with United looks to be at an end and Carragher is no different. Speaking on Rio Ferdinand's Vibe with Five podcast, the ex-Liverpool defender thinks that Ronaldo is trying to force the club's hand but praised Ten Hag for how he has dealt with the situation.
