Jamie Carragher has stood by his suggestion Everton are the 'worst-run' club in the county after Frank Lampard's sacking.
The Blues currently sit 19th in the Premier League table and have endured a nightmare of a season, which looks set to be a second successive campaign involving a battle to avoid relegation.
Lampard managed to steer the Blues to safety in dramatic style last term, but the Blues may struggle to repeat this feat without top-scorer Richarlison and a sense of unity between the fans and players.

Frustration has been growing in recent weeks after continued poor performances, resulting in sit-in protests aimed at the Everton board and chants during matches reinforcing discontent among the fanbase regarding years of mismanagement.
This, though, is nothing new in the eyes of Carragher, who has stressed Everton's decline is being accelerated by decisions being made behind the scenes. Speaking on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football, he said: "I said on this programme six or 12 months ago, Everton are the worst run club in the country. It wasn’t a flippant remark, I believed it.
"I’m not saying that as an ex-Liverpool player, I’m saying that as an ex-Everton fan. When I made that comment, Everton got in touch with me and I actually admired it, almost being on the front foot trying to defend their club. I thought okay, fair enough, you say some things in the media and people come back at you, but I didn’t think I was wrong then, and I’m not wrong when I say it now.
"Frank’s gone - I’m saying he deserved to go, okay, but you’ve got a young, up-and-coming English manager, you’ve got a Champions League winning manager in Rafa Benitez or Carlo Ancelotti, you’ve got an up-and-coming manager, Marco Silva; Koeman has been around the world managing a lot of teams. When every club fails, you’ve got to look at the top. That’s Farhad Moshiri, and it’s a mess."
