Jamie Carragher believes Trent Alexander-Arnold could save Liverpool £100m if he continues to play in midfield.
Alexander-Arnold, who normally operates as a right-back, has been handed more positional freedom in Liverpool’s recent games, drifting into midfield and looking to get on the ball as much as possible.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has been using Alexander-Arnold in an inverted role when in possession since the draw against Arsenal at Anfield last month, and Liverpool have gone on to win all five of the Premier League games they have played since.

As well as that run of form, Alexander-Arnold sits first for assists, chances created, passes in the opposition half, penalty area entries, possession won, and touches in the Premier League since the tactical tweak against Mikel Arteta's side.
The England international again impressed during his side’s game against Brentford, and Carragher claimed his old side could be about to save themselves some serious money in the summer transfer market.
Speaking on commentary during the first-half, the former defender said: "If Trent plays midfield, he probably saves Liverpool £100 million."
