Kylian Mbappe is the centre of fresh reports he wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain in January amid claims he feels 'betrayed' by the club.
Reports suggest the 23-year-old is hoping to force an exit despite signing a new three-year contract in the summer. It has been claimed that Mbappe's relationship with PSG has completely broken down after he asked to leave the club permanently in July.
Mbappe was expected to join Real Madrid but had an eleventh-hour change of heart and penned new terms with his current side until 2025. It was a shock to many supporters who expected the World Cup winner to make the switch to the Santiago Bernabau.
Despite scoring 12 goals in all competitions this season, Mbappe is unhappy with his current situation at PSG, which has seen him played as a No.9 rather than his preferred role on the left. Unhappy with his summer transfer prospects, it has emerged he is keen to explore a new challenge.
It has sparked a debate amongst pundits, including Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards, who have been discussing the matter and offering differing views on the situation. Carragher feels that the Frenchman is in the wrong for 'feeding' a story to the press hours before a massive Champions League game against Benfica, accusing him of "disrespecting" his club.
Carragher told CBS Sports: "He's fed a story on the afternoon of a game and it's not right. If anyone is disrespecting anybody, it's Kylian Mbappe disrespecting PSG.
"They don't put someone out so big for it not being true, it's gone everywhere. He's trying to make PSG look like they haven't stuck by their promises. That might be right in terms of not playing in his preferred role, I just think it was really poor."

Micah Richards disagreed with Carragher, however, and wants to hear the story from the player himself before believing anything that has been said. Mbappe scored PSG's only goal in their 1-1 draw with Benfica at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday.
Richards said: "I didn't like how people was disrespecting Mbappe. I've read 10-plus stories that Mbappe wants to leave, but I haven't heard it from Mbappe, this is a story that has come from a respected journalist, and you've got to respect that, but you've got to wait until Mbappe has said it himself."
Meanwhile, Thierry Henry added: "We know he doesn't like it and I think like I was saying, nobody likes to be exposed to what you're not good at. You just don't like it, but there is something that's bigger than everyone else and that's the club.
"But, did they make him feel that the club was the most important thing or did they make him feel that he was more important than the club? And I think at one point for me - and I will use my own stories... I didn't like to play high and wide at Barcelona. I hated it! But, I had to do it for the team."
