Jamie Carragher has suggested that he still believes Arsenal will win the Premier League title ahead of Manchester City, with both clubs having lost at the weekend.
Pep Guardiola's side had the chance to close the gap on the Gunners to just two points after Mikel Arteta's men lost 1-0 to Everton on Saturday afternoon. However, the Blues also fell to a 1-0 defeat at the weekend - with Tottenham Hotspur overcoming the reigning champions in a feisty encounter.
The respective results mean that Arsenal still remain five points clear of City, however, the London outfit have a game in hand over the Blues. The two sides meet for the first time in the Premier League this season at the Emirates later this month.

With the Gunners having spent the majority of the campaign at the top of the table, former Liverpool defender Carragher has continued to back them to end their title drought this term. Despite Arteta's men having lost to the Toffees on Saturday, the Sky Sports pundit still believes they will come out on top.
"I still think there’s long to go, neither team has to panic," he said on Sky Sports. "I don’t think Arsenal should on the back of this [Everton] game with the record at Goodison, and also Man City here [at Tottenham] is not great. There’ll be lots of ups and downs, and I just slightly feel the edge is with Arsenal, because I think they’ve been the most impressive team up until now.
"I know there’s a long way to go and we keep expecting City to get back to where they were, but it just feels like we’re waiting week after week. I felt like today would be they come here, put the pressure on Arsenal, and we’d see the real City, and it just doesn’t feel like we’ve seen it for a very long time. I think Pep Guardiola right now is probably not so much thinking about the title - he just wants his team back.
"The way they play, the way they used to dominate games, the way they used to be. At the moment I think he’s thinking I need to get my team back before we can think about chasing down Arsenal, but listen, the two games against Arsenal are obviously going to play a huge role. I just fancy Arsenal."
Meanwhile, former United ace Neville - who has consistently backed City to retain their Premier League crown - once again suggested that the Blues are still capable of going on a run this term. However, the 47-year-old did admit that 'something was not right' at the Etihad.
He said: "When you’ve got that quality you’re not concerned about anybody else, it’s just about what you do, they could easily go on a run. Whether that’s because we’ve been in football and you become quite pragmatic, you know the quality the players have, you know what they’ve done the last five or six seasons, and of course they can put a run together.
"If you’d asked me after the World Cup, I thought it was only a matter of time before we were gonna get Liverpool back up there, so there is still time for them. There’s something not quite right, that final pass was missing all game, that was missing. Yes they had lots of possession, they got up to Tottenham’s 18-yard line, and met a brick wall.
"That was a bit of Tottenham defending pretty well and it was a bit of them not having that killer pass. De Bruyne’s the best at delivering them in the world."
City have won the Premier League titles in four of the past five seasons, while Arsenal have failed to win the top-flight since the 2003/04 campaign.
