Jamie Carragher and Daniel Sturridge have agreed that Chelsea will beat Borussia Dortmund and claim a place in the Champions League quarter-finals. The Blues are set to welcome the German side to Stamford Bridge this evening as Graham Potter looks to turn around a one-goal deficit.
Karim Adeyemi scored the only goal of the game against the west Londoners at Signal Iduna Park in the first leg after catching Chelsea on the counter-attack in the second-half. Potter could now have one less problem on his hands after the striker suffered a hamstring injury against Hertha Berlin last month.
The Blues boss is under growing pressure to transform the club's fortunes, winning just once in his previous seven games across all competitions. Despite speculation over Potter's position, Carragher and Sturridge have both backed Chelsea to progress to the next round.

Speaking on Sky Sports, the former Liverpool defender claimed the west Londoners will dominate Dortmund. Carragher said: "It’s a huge game. There was a lot of talk before the Leeds game about the pressure on Graham Potter and him potentially losing his job.
"I think from Graham Potter’s point of view, winning that game [against Leeds] probably gives them a bit of breathing space ahead of the Dortmund game.
"I still expect them to get through, Chelsea. They dominated Dortmund in the first leg. They find themselves behind but I think they were by far the better team, so I expect them to go through."
Singing from the same hymn sheet, Sturridge insisted that Chelsea's firepower could prove too strong for the visitors, despite their recent struggle for goals. On his TikTok page, the former Blues and Liverpool striker said: "Chelsea vs Dortmund. Second leg. And we’re here at the iconic Stamford Bridge.
"We have Raheem Sterling, and we have Joao Felix and we have Mykhailo Mudryk. But on the other hand of that, Jude Bellingham, Sebastien Haller and Adeyemi.
"In the first game, Dortmund playing at home with their fans managed to win the game with a Karim Adeyemi goal of course, fantastic finish. Chelsea were very, very threatening on the counter-attack, but now they’re playing at home.
"It’s a different ballgame. Chelsea have to win by two clear goals which is a big ask, but I’m going with Chelsea."
