It is always interesting to hear why a recruit picks a school, and for Ohio State football and running back James Peoples, it was all about the people.
The Texan signed with the Buckeyes in the 2024 cycle, and has been on campus for a few months now. The homesick feeling has never hit Peoples due to the same reason why he eventually chose Ohio State, his teammates.
In an interview, the 5-foot, 10-inch, 200-pound back created a massive connection with his future teammates during his recruiting process, which impacted his decision. Peoples noted that “the brotherhood is real. I’ve been to places and it’s not like that. It stays true.”
Was an amazing interview, listen and tell me what y’all think Buckeye nation .

It’s not just name, image and likeness that makes a recruit choose a school, relationships matter. Ohio State crushed that aspect of Peoples’ recruitment, which is a huge reason why he ended up with the Buckeyes.
