Back where it all began, James Nesbitt was spotted taking a ride on the Big Dipper as he made his first trip to the newly opened Curry's Fun Park in Portrush this week.
The TV star, who used to work at the popular family attraction when he was younger and it was known as Barry's Amusements, dropped by on a surprise visit.
The Bloodlands actor chatted to new owner Jacqueline Curry who tried to tempt him back to his old job on the Big Dipper and let him know there is certainly a position for him if he fancies it.

In a statement on their Facebook, Curry's Fun Park said Nesbitt "remarked that the Dipper seemed an awful lot faster than what he remembered".
"Paying his first visit to the fun park in Portrush since the Curry family took charge, Jimmy remarked at how great it was to see the building brighter than ever and buzzing with atmosphere with visitors loving the new rides and lots of their old favourites," they added.
The Trufelli family owned Barry’s for 93 years before announcing in 2019 they were putting the business up for sale. Earlier this year it was officially reopened by the Curry family, much to the delight of customers.
In 2020, Coleraine actor Nesbitt revealed he had been tempted to buy Barry's due to his connection to the place from working there in his youth. But the 57-year-old, who is currently starring in Channel 4 show Suspect, settled for remaining a visitor instead.
Staff at Curry's Fun Park said Nesbitt was happy to pose for snaps with countless fans who wanted to pose with the star, before he wished the Curry family continued success in their new venture.
However, he got 'cold feet' when it came to trying their new white knuckle ride “The Beast".
