James Milner has revealed reasons as to why Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is different to the other managers he has worked under in his long, illustrious career at the top of English football.
Milner made his debut for Leeds United when he was just 16 and spells at Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Manchester City followed before he joined Liverpool on a free transfer in the summer of 2015 while Brendan Rodgers was in charge of the club. Klopp was brought in a year later and the Reds have become the club Milner has made the most appearances for.
The 36-year-old has won everything there is to win in club football, lifting the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Club World Cup and Super Cup, and he continues to play a vital role within Klopp's squad.

And on what makes the German different from other managers, Milner told WALK ON , LFC's eMagazine: "How he is around the place, how he prepares us for games. He always talks to us about the situation around games, which I think is important.
“He talks to us about what people might be thinking, he anticipates people's thoughts before games – things such as getting tiredness out of our minds if there have been a lot of games. He's very good at anticipating things that could affect players or our performances, and stopping it before it happens.
“He puts people's minds on the right track and has shown throughout his career that he is a top manager. He's done a great job here and hopefully he can win some more trophies for Liverpool FC.”
Milner names winning the Champions League and Premier League as his two stand-out moments in a Reds shirt. He said: "It's hard to pick one but those two moments were such big moments in the history of the club.
“Finally getting the Premier League after a big break with the club winning the league title – and being so close the year before when we got 97 points but didn't win it – showed character, especially winning it under the strange circumstances that we did.
“It was disappointing not to be able to celebrate it with the fans, but those two moments were special because we fought to achieve those as a group and a club.”
