Tierney came through the Parkhead club's youth academy before going to to star in the first team under Ronny Deila initially and then Brendan Rodgers before moving to Arsenal in 2019.
McClean previously admitted it was his dream to play for Celtic one day, telling Celtic TV: "That's always been the dream.
"Unfortunately that's not up to me. If it was up to me it would have happened a long time ago.
"Who knows? Fingers crossed. Maybe one day."
