Maddison key to Kane
Tottenham are already a club full of players that admire James Maddison. The 26-year-old was announced as a new Spurs player on Wednesday but the quality shown in previous seasons has benefitted him.
With only 12 months left to run on his deal at Leicester, a mixture of relegation and contract pressure have handed Tottenham somewhat of a bargain as they secured Maddison for just £40million.
The value of his arrival may be a lot more than just what he does on the pitch, though. Maddison's very existence in the team will be huge for the hopes of retaining Harry Kane and should the pair link up then it's sure to be an exciting watch.

Levy decision to cost Postecoglou
If Tottenham are to sign Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Edmund Tapsoba, it may well see Ange Postecoglou stretched during the season.
Even with additional defensive reinforcements needed, following the signing of Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli as the start of that, Tapsoba would not be the answer all the time.

Due to his commitments with Burkina Faso at the African Cup of Nations, Tapsoba, who has been linked with a move to north London, would miss a chunk of the season from January and could see that run into February too.

Postecoglou and Kane talks
Harry Kane and Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou will hold talks over the player's future once he returns from holiday, football.london understands.
Kane has been the subject of sizeable bids from Bayern Munich this summer and the German giants are expected to go back in for him once more.
With just one year left to run on his contract, Kane's future is one that is of major priority for the new head coach and Daniel Levy to resolve swiftly.
