Vanderpump Rules alum James Kennedy has been arrested for domestic violence.
According to a report by TMZ, the 32-year-old reality star was arrested at a home in Burbank, California on Thursday evening (local time) after police were alerted to an argument between him and a woman.
Sources told the publication that Kennedy and the woman were arguing, with the insider claiming that he allegedly grabbed hold of her at one point. However, police told the publication that she did not have any injuries.
After it was reportedly determined to be a domestic violence situation, Kennedy was arrested for misdemeanour domestic violence.
Kennedy was released after posting a $20,000 USD ($31,416 AUD) bond. However, TMZ has reported that the Burbank City Attorney’s Office is looking into the case for possible charges against the reality star.
Earlier that night, Kennedy attended a party at reality alum Kathy Hilton‘s home with his girlfriend Ally Lewber.
Kennedy and Lewber have been dating since January 2022. The pair got together shortly after Kennedy split with his fiancé Racquel Leviss in 2021.
Since Kennedy’s arrest, his exes have taken to social media to react to the news.
Kristen Doute — who had a very tumultuous relationship with Kennedy from 2013 to 2015 — took to her Instagram Stories to share a screenshot of the TMZ article, adding “Finally”.
Back in August 2023, Leviss commented on her former relationship with Kennedy, and his tumultuous relationship with Doute, on Bethenny Frankel‘s podcast Just B With Bethenny Frankel.
“I’ve seen him be a violent person so I have no doubt that what she’s saying is true. I hope that one day it will come to light and there will be justice,” she said.
James Kennedy is yet to address the arrest or the domestic violence allegations.
