James Jordan declares Strictly final a 'two horse race' as he rules out couples' chances

James Jordan has claimed that the race for this year's Strictly Come Dancing is between just two couples, despite their being four in the final.

James was one of the most talked about pros on Strictly for years, partnering the likes of Pamela Stephenson and Denise Van Outen, before leaving the show and going onto appear in other programmes like Celebrity Big Brother, The Real Full Monty and Dancing on Ice, which he won.

He has ben very outspoken with his opinions on Strictly, often voicing his disapproval of the professional group numbers, questioning some of the judges' scores and the decisions on who to send home, with him angered by Tyler West's exit this year. James has developed quite a following on Twitter every Saturday is Strictly on, as he awards his own scores for the performances, as well as giving his own critiques of the dances.

And, although he has dealt a blow to fans by revealing that he is unable to watch the final live on Saturday night, he has offered a very firm opinion on how he thinks things will go, declaring it a battle for victory between long time bookies' favourite Hamza Yassin and former Blue Peter host Helen Skelton, thus ruling out the chances of fellow finalists Molly Rainford and Fleur East.

Offering his thoughts on Twitter on Saturday morning, James wrote: "Good luck to all the Strictly finalists!! It’s been a another great year of dancing and once again the pro’s were exceptional I think it’s a 2 horse race between Hamza and Helen BUT whoever wins is down to the public so it will be the correct result GOOD LUCK ALL."

His tweet got plenty of responses from Strictly fans, with one replying: "Hamza and Helen have both grown so much in their dancing ability. However I do want Helen and Gorka to win. Helens confidence since day one to now has multiplied, which is great to see," and another tweeting: "I will be happy with either of them. Helen deserves to because of her progression and Hamaza is just so lovely as well as being good."
