Hibs have snapped up James Jeggo as they make their first signing of 2023.
Lee Johnson was keen to add new recruits but had to clear the decks first and after a number of outgoings in his squad this month, he's moved to bring in the Australia international from K.A.S Eupen in Belgium on an 18-month deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 30-year-old, who operates in defensive midfield, will bring added experience to the Easter Road squad having played close to 300 club appearances in the likes of Australia, Greece, Australia and Belgium. He lifted the Austrian Cup with Sturm Graz with his operational skills both off and on the ball highlighted by his new boss. On the signing of Jeggo the Hibs boss commented: “Jimmy is a very good communicator, will help our organisation both with and without the ball, and will aid the solidarity of the team.
