A host of former internationals will be out in force this Friday night for James Hook's testimonial.
The former Wales fly-half, who retired from the game in 2020, will lead a star-studded squad against a Classic Lions XV at the Gnoll in Neath. With the likes of Shane Williams, Mike Phillips, Colin Charvis, Phil Vickery, Delon Armitage, Maa’ma Molitika and Nick Williams all playing, it promises to be a great occasion.
With more than 20 ex-internationals involved, it's certainly one which rugby fans will be wanting to attend. And tickets are still available for the match.
Tickets cost £15 for adults and £7.50 for children under 14 and they are available via this link. Gates at the Gnoll open at 5pm on Friday, with the match kicking off at 7pm.
The game will be a chance for Hook to bid farewell to fans, having been denied that opportunity previously because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
"I had always wanted to say a proper goodbye to supporters because they've been so good to me over the years, but it didn’t happen because I announced my retirement well before the end of the 2019-20 season and then the pandemic kicked in,” he told WalesOnline recently.
“The testimonial gives me a chance to tick that box. I’ll be able to thank the supporters and some of my old team-mates. I’m looking forward to it.”
