James Haskell has shared his verdict on how loose-lipped he anticipates close friend Mike Tindall will be as he enters the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.
The rugby champ appeared on Monday morning’s episode of Good Morning Britain to talk about the ITV reality show’s launch on Sunday night.
Sitting down with co-hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls, James reminisced over his stint in the Australian jungle, when he became the fourth star to be voted off I'm a Celebrity in 2019.
He also spoke about fellow rugby pro Mike Tindall’s debut on the reality show, as he was thrown in at the deep end on Sunday with a Bushtucker Trial, which saw a spider creep over his head.
Good Morning Britain host Mike said: “Mike is effectively a member of the Royal Family and his uncle-in-law is now the King. Is that going to affect how he behaves?
“Because obviously, he can’t spill beans, can he? But people will be thinking, it will be interesting to watch if he does.”
Co-host Ed then chipped in joking: “Because the Royal Family never spill beans”
James replied: “I think, interestingly enough, once he gets pressured by a couple of people asking him questions, which they rightly will do, because they get bored.
“It is very boring in there when you’re not doing challenges. That’s why you want to be voted in.
“A lot of the members of the public think it’s a punishment. I wanted to do every challenge, because if not, you just sit around having inane conversations.”
The Good Morning Britain hosts asked if campmates ever forget about the multiple hidden cameras beaming them onto national television, which James said he only forgot about on one occasion where he ‘lost his head’ and had an outburst.
However, he went on to say that he thinks Mike will mind what he says, adding: “You always do. I think Mike is quite a private guy anyway. He’s part of one of the most famous families in the world.”
James also said he anticipates Mike’s wife Zara will ‘hopefully’ go Down Under to be with Mike when he does exit the jungle, as he predicted the former rugby star could take home the crown of King of the Jungle.
This comes after Mike told how he said an emotional goodbye on the Royal Estate to head off for the reality show – and was warned by his wife to take care when eating.
