James Corden has paid tribute to the “exceptionally talented” Kay Mellor who died on Sunday aged 71 saying “she changed my life”.
Kay Mellor, who was born in Leeds, wrote a number of hit TV shows like Girlfriends, The Syndicate and Band of Gold. One of her most successful and famous shows was Fat Friends, which starred James Corden as Jamie Rymer.
In a post paying tribute to Mellor on Instagram, he wrote: “Kay Mellor sadly passed away today.
