James Bentley has been banned for two matches by the RFL's Match Review Panel. Bentley has been cited for a high tackle in Leeds Rhinos' defeat to Castleford Tigers.
The Rhinos forward has been charged for a Grade B high tackle which will bring with it a two-match ban. He was sin-binned during the club's defeat to the Tigers and will now sit out the crucial game with Toulouse Olympique.
He is the latest player banned this season, with the Rhinos being brutally hit by bans all year. It is Bentley's second ban after being sent off in round one for a high tackle that saw him receive a four-match ban. Zane Tetevano is set to begin his second suspension of the season while Cameron Smith, Blake Austin and Brad Dwyer are among those who have also been forced to the sidelines as punishment this season.
Gale will now miss back-to-back home games against Toulouse and Hull KR, with the same applying to marquee man Tetevano. Once they serve their latest bans they will have missed ten games between them this year, It causes more selection issues. Alex Mellor has been operating in the centres and could be moved while Morgan Gannon is another option.
Elsewhere, two other players received two-match bans. Former Rhinos captain Luke Gale has received a two-match ban for tripping while St Helens' Curtis Sironen has also been banned for a late hit.
