James Argent performed for Lydia Bright’s daughter at her birthday party, with fans hoping for a reunion between the former flames.
The pair were in a seven-year on-and-off relationship that ended in 2016, with the highs and lows documented on reality series, The Only Way Is Essex.
However, the pair have since formed a friendship, with James, 35, helping Lydia, 32, celebrate her daughter Loretta’s birthday by attending the little girl’s party.
He also took to the microphone to perform in front of the other guests.
Taking to Instagram, Lydia uploaded a clip of Loretta’s birthday, as she held her daughter in her arms and danced with her around the guests.
As she twirled Loretta around, who wore a pink and red party dress, James could be seen in the background with a microphone in hand, as the guests sang ‘Happy Birthday’.
Singer Che Chesterman could then be seen singing along to Stevie Wonder's Isn’t She Lovely.
On Instagram, Lydia wrote: “Celebrating my lovely, wonderful, precious girl (heart emoji). It ain’t a party without a little Argy Bargy :D Thank you @real_arg for bringing the entertainment and for organising the best birthday present @chechesterman You are a very special friend”.
While many were quick to praise the singing talents of Che Chesterman, many of Lydia’s followers made it clear they were hoping that the reality star would get back with her ex, with one user writing: “My life would be complete if they ended up together”.
Another agreed, typing: “In a perfect world you too would come together again, however that being said your friendship is amazing (heart eye emoji, heart emoji)”.
“Love that you and arg still in each others lives after everything and part of Loretta birthday celebrations so happy you all had great day. Mummy and Loretta looking beautiful as always (rose emojis)”, a third chimed.
A fourth joked: “Girllll Just Hubby Him Up Already”.
Lydia has been single since splitting with Loretta’s father, ex-boyfriend Lee Cronin, in 2020.
The couple broke up after Loretta was born.
James is currently in a relationship with girlfriend, Stella Turian, meeting the actress and singer during a friend’s wedding in Mykonos, Greece, last year.
