Jamal Edwards tragically died from a sudden illness his devastated family have confirmed in an emotional statement.
The 31-year-old's heartbroken mum, Loose Women star, Brenda Edwards confirmed the tragic news.
"It is with the deepest heartache that I confirm that my beautiful son Jamal Edwards passed away yesterday morning after a sudden illness," Brenda penned.
"Myself, his sister Tanisha and the rest of his family and friends are completely devastated. He was the centre of our world.
"As we come to terms with his passing we ask for privacy to grieve this unimaginable loss. I would like to thank everyone for their messages of love and support."
"Jamal was an inspiration to myself and so many. Our love for him lives on, his legacy lives On Long live Jamal Edwards MBE, MBA, PHD."
Jamal, who was credited with helping launch the careers of stars like Jessie J and Dave, was the eldest of the Loose Women presenter's two children.
Thanks to his impressive achievements and career, Jamal was appointed an MBE for services to music in 2014.
The late star was also an ambassador for the Prince's Trust, a youth charity run by the Prince of Wales which helps young people set up their own companies.
On Sunday night, Labour MP Zarah Sultana paid tribute to Jamal's legacy and all that he accomplished throughout his life.
"The impact SBTV had on the UK’s music scene and British culture is immeasurable," the politician tweeted.
"Rest in peace, Jamal Edwards. My thoughts are with everyone who knew and loved him."
His pioneering work in the music industry led him to become friends with several celebs - including Ed Sheeran, Will.i.am, Professor Green and Rio Ferdinand.
Just three days ago, Jamal took to Instagram to upload a throwback snap of himself and hitmaker Ed Sheeran.
"Happy Birthday to the OG, Ed. Blessed to have you in my life brother. You know you've been mates a long time when you lose count on the years! Keep smashing it & inspiring us all G!" he penned in the birthday tribute.
Earlier this month he attended the BRIT awards and posed on the red carpet dressed in an eye-catching mustard yellow coloured suit.
He shared posts on social media following the biggest night in music business calendar.
Tributes have been pouring in on social media for the author who was awarded an MBE in the New Years Honours list in 2014 for his work in music and his business - including from his mum's TV co-star Denise Welch.
The telly star typed: "My heart aches for my friend Brenda. I can’t bear it. Jamal Edwards was a wonderful son and brother."
