Jamal Agnew added to Jaguars injury report with quad issue

The Jacksonville Jaguars only made one change to the injury report between Wednesday and Thursday, but it could be a significant one. Wide receiver and return specialist Jamal Agnew was added to the report with a quad injury that limited him in practice.

Earlier this week, Jaguars coach Doug Pederson called Zay Jones “a long shot” to play Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. With Jones out of action in Week 3, Agnew was the third most targeted Jaguars wide receiver behind the starting duo of Calvin Ridley and Christian Kirk.

Rookies Parker Washington and Elijah Cooks were both healthy scratches through the first three weeks and veteran Jacob Harris was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster last week to bolster depth with Jones out of action.

If Agnew isn’t able to play, the Jaguars may need Washington to make his regular season debut as the sixth-round rookie is listed as the team’s No. 2 punt and kick returner on the depth chart.

The only update to the Falcons’ injury report is that wide receiver Josh Ali, who was limited Wednesday, was sidelined entirely Thursday.

Cordarrelle Patterson, who led the Falcons in touchdowns last year, missed the first three weeks of the season with a thigh injury.
