Jamaican woman extradited to U.S. after allegedly helping scam Kentucky residents out of $80,000 with fake $250 million lottery win

Jamaican citizen Jenel Chrissancia Rowe, 29, was extradited to the United States on Aug. 20 to face criminal charges over her alleged role in a multimillion-dollar international lottery scam that defrauded residents of Graves County, Kentucky, of approximately $80,000.

According to Wealth of Geeks, Rowe is a student at Bethlehem Teachers’ College in Thornton, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Investigators allege that she was one of six co-conspirators connected to an organized syndicate that targeted vulnerable and elderly people through the mail. Following her extradition, Rowe was handed over to U.S. authorities by U.S. Marshals at Nashville International Airport.
