AUSTIN, Texas – Jalin Turner grew up in the same area of California as Bobby Green, which is what made the lead-up to his win Saturday a bit more challenging.
In the UFC on ESPN 52 co-main event at Moody Center, Turner (14-7 MMA, 7-4 UFC) brutalized Green (31-15-1 MMA, 12-10-1 UFC) through an elongated (and controversial) sequence until referee Kerry Hatley stepped in and stopped the fight. It’s all business, at the end of the day.
“At the end of the day, it’s bittersweet because me and Bobby come from the same area,” Turner told MMA Junkie and other reporters at a post-fight news conference. “We grew up in the same area and that’s what made it tough.
