The Philadelphia Eagles are the best team in the NFL right now and it’s partly because Jalen Hurts has been so spectacular.
It’s not just on the field, though — he’s been dazzling off of it too. He’s said and done all the right things off of the field so far. He had another one of those moments on Thursday in a press conference ahead of the Eagles’ upcoming game against the Cardinals.
He sat and answered questions from the media for 9 minutes, according to 12 Sports Arizona anchor Cameron Cox. He didn’t get a single question about the Cardinals defense and their upcoming matchup.
But he didn’t let that slide. Before leaving the podium he made sure to point out how good they were.
.@mikejurecki pointed this out eariler, so I had to see the video. Philly media spent 9-minutes asking Jalen Hurts about his Manning Cast appearance and comparisons to Kyler Murray… Not one question about the #AZCardinals defense until he brought it up. #respect @12SportsAZ pic.twitter.com/yRIX3C3ZeT

“I will say this, too. I didn’t get any questions about the Cardinals…This is a really good team we’re about to play. They have a really good defense — disruptive up front. They have speed on the backend. So, let’s not set the precedent for that. This is a good football team.”
That’s just an incredibly respectful gesture in a moment where Hurts wasn’t even asked for one. Shoutout to Hurts for this — certainly, Cardinals fans will appreciate it.
