Jakob Ingebrigtsen of Norway made history by breaking the 28-year world record in the 3,000 meters event at a Diamond League meeting held in Chorzow, Poland. Ingebrigtsen's remarkable performance saw him clocking an impressive time of 7 minutes, 17.55 seconds at the Silesian Stadium.

This incredible achievement shattered the previous world record of 7:20.67 set by Daniel Komen of Kenya back in 1996, marking a significant milestone in the sport of athletics. Ingebrigtsen's exceptional display of speed and endurance showcased his talent and dedication to the sport.
