Jake Reiner opens up during first TV interview eight months after parents were killed

Jake Reiner opened up in his first interview since his parents , director Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner, were murdered in their Brentwood home, calling it a living nightmare.
His brother, Nick Reiner, pleaded not guilty in Los Angeles Superior Court to the murders of his parents after being indicted by a grand jury.
Jake Reiner emphasized that their parents maintained unconditional love for Nick and constantly sought to help him through his mental health and addiction struggles.
Attorneys for Nick Reiner are currently pushing for access to his trust fund to finance his legal defense despite California's slayer statute.
Nick Reiner was apprehended by Los Angeles police within six hours of the discovery of his parents' bodies and remains held without bail.
