Jake Paul told Andrew Tate "meets the criteria" of opponent he's looking for

Jake Paul has been told Andrew Tate is a fitting opponent for his next fight because of the controversial kickboxer's recent internet fame.

Paul has been questioned over a potential fight with Tate, a four-time kickboxing world champion who has received unprecedented levels of fame on TikTok in recent months. YouTube star Paul claims that he was recently sent a secret message by Tate on Instagram, but it was deleted before he was able to read it.

Tate has claimed there are " sophisticated negotiations " underway for a fight between he and one of the Paul brothers, but nothing has yet been announced. Former UFC title challenger Chael Sonnen thinks Tate meets the criteria for Paul's next opponent after 'The Problem Child' said he wanted to fight someone with the same amount of fame as him.

“Andrew Tate made a video, he did it terribly well,” Sonnen said on his YouTube channel. “He did it about two months ago, and he called out Jake Paul but in those last two months, Tate has exploded. He’s been discussed on the Joe Rogan show, I’m discussing him now and Logan Paul, Jake’s brother, discussed him. Barstool Sports interviewed Tate.

"All of a sudden, Andrew Tate meets the criteria that Jake is looking for, which is people are interested in him and he brings a base. I should mention that Andrew Tate is a four-time world kickboxing champion, so things are very very different. Tate will show up, believe me. I don't know how any guys you can say that point."

Tate's fighting career was cut short at the age of 30 after being on receiving end of an eye-poke in one of his fights. The 37-year-old has promised to "beat the living s*** out of" Paul if the duo meet in the ring. With Tate receiving even more media attention since he first welcomed a fight with Paul, Sonnen thinks the controversial kickboxer would be an intriguing opponent for 'The Problem Child'.

" Andrew did his part, he called out Paul then he went and got himself famous. He checks the box. Jake would love a ranking, he would love to be on a top-fifteen of a sanctioned commission but a four-time world kickboxing champion means something too. Andrew Tate becomes a really interesting option," Sonnen added.
