Jake Paul sparring partner attempts takedown on Love Island star Jack Fincham

Jake Paul's sparring partner Anthony Taylor tried to take down rival Jake Fincham during a heated confrontation ahead of their fight this weekend.

Taylor is continuing his boxing world when he takes on reality TV star Fincham on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather's exhibition with Deji at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. The American star has fought the likes of Tommy Fury and Chris Avila and recently defeated Ashley from X-Factor winning band Rak Su in his latest outing.

Fincham is making his professional debut and attended the press conference at York Hall where he was pushed by Taylor during their first face-to-face. Now the pair have been involved in a physical altercation once again in Dubai where the open workouts were taking place as fight week kicked off.

The British star was shouted at by Taylor and the pair came nose-to-nose once again, with Fincham then shouting: "Listen, I'm the Love Island king. You'd love to be the Love Island king, boy." His angered foe replied: "I'm going to break you first round." He then proceeded to try and take down his opponent by grabbing his legs with Fincham trying to wrestle him to the ground.

Fincham eventually dropped to the ground lightly by pinning Taylor to the floor, with members of Fincham's team trying to keep the pair apart with the debutant seemingly relaxed with the situation. 'Pretty Boy' was eventually pulled up and away from Fincham before being dragged away from the situation.

The south-London native had already been unimpressed with Taylor's antics in trying to play up their rivalry and is focused on making a statement on his debut. He said after the event: "I watched it after and I thought, 'yeah you've caught him with a good shot, but what did you do after.'

"He's had five pro fights, he's former-MMA, he's fit - you should be beating people like that anyway. It's not like shock. And I don't like shouting after 'oh, I want this person' and he's calling people out. After something like that, that's not the way you should be acting I think."

Taylor has been at the forefront of the drama during media events for the fight card, including a heated argument with former rival Fury's dad John with the pair ripping off their jackets to clash before being held back by security. The American star also shouted a lengthy call-out to boxing legend Mayweather whom he is eyeing a fight with in the future.

He made the call-out at last week's event which left the 50-0 star baffled, shouting : “Lets be honest, what I think we really want to see is ‘Pretty Boy’ Anthony Taylor vs. ‘Money’ Floyd Mayweather. Now that’s a fight! Personality, personality. I’m the most qualified fighter to be fighting Floyd Mayweather in exhibition. I fought on Showtime. Some of the biggest fights you have all ever seen on pay-per-view. I deserve to fight Floyd. He already said he’s never seen Deji. I’m the f***ing ‘Pretty Boy’ baby! Former ‘Pretty Boy’ now ‘Money’ Mayweather."
