Jake Paul shares Man City vs Liverpool prediction ahead of crucial Premier League clash

YouTube and boxing star Jake Paul has backed Liverpool to come out on top against Manchester City this afternoon in their Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium.

There is little margin for error when the two teams go head-to-head, with any small mistake likely to have huge implications on the full-time result and title race. City and Liverpool played out a 2-2 draw in the meeting at Anfield earlier this season, with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane both on the scoresheet for the Reds.

Victory for Jurgen Klopp's men would lift Liverpool over the reigning champions and into top spot, an outcome Paul is expecting to see play out. Sharing his prediction ahead of kick-off, the American tweeted: "Man City Vs Liverpool is a toss up. City has home field but Liverpool are on fire at the moment. I’m putting my bet on The Reds and Mohamed Salah."

The Egyptian forward has not been on top form in recent weeks, though has a strong record in matches involving the Citizens. Salah has scored seven times in 11 appearances against Guardiola's side and will be hoping to add to this tally today.

Paul is one of a number of people who will be tuning in the vital match in Manchester, though his field of expertise relates to boxing. The 25-year-old has won all five of his professional bouts to date, including two victories over Tyron Woodley.

The online video creator has also made an offer to compete in the UFC and has proposed a one-fight deal to face Conor McGregor in the octagon.
