Jake Paul’s promotional company Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) have released an official statement addressing claims that Paul’s record-breaking fight with boxing legend Mike Tyson was scripted and rigged.
Jake Paul’s Team Address ‘Fictitious Claims’ Regarding Mike Tyson Fight
Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) have released an official statement regarding claims that Jake Paul‘s victory over Mike Tyson on November 15 was scripted and pre-determined.
Some boxing fans have been highly critical of the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight, claiming that the record-breaking fight was ‘rigged’. In response, MVP and Jake Paul have hit back, addressing these ‘fictitious claims’.
‘The Problem Child’ and Mike Tyson controversially took part in the biggest combat sports event in modern history, streaming live and exclusively on Netflix. In the aftermath, the monumental event has reportedly broken every viewership record since Muhammad Ali, with Netflix themselves announcing it garnered 108 million live viewers around the world.
Jake Paul went on to beat ‘Iron Mike’ via unanimous decision, dominating the 58-year-old for eight rounds. However, not for the first time in his boxing career, the 27-year-old has come under tonnes of criticism, with fans claiming the fight was ‘pre-determined’ and ‘rigged’ in Paul’s favour.
Some footage from the fight has been doing the rounds on social media, claiming that Tyson was pulling his punches instead of trying to actually hit ‘The Problem Child’.

Most Valuable Promotions Hit Back At ‘Rigged’ Paul vs Tyson Claims
With a whole host of boxing fans claiming Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson was rigged, MVP have responded with an official statement in the form of a press release. Part of the press release reads:
“Following the wide circulation of incorrect and baseless claims that undermine the integrity of the Paul vs Tyson event, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) would like to set the record straight regarding the contractual agreements and the nature of the fight.
“Both fighters in good faith performed to the best of their abilities with the goal of winning the fight. There were absolutely no restrictions – contractual or otherwise – around either fighter. Each boxer was able to use his full arsenal to win the fight.”
Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions and Jake Paul‘s manager, added:
“This is not the first time Jake Paul has faced unfounded scepticism or outright disbelief as a professional athlete, and frankly, the claim that this bout must have been rigged is just the latest backhanded compliment to come his way.
“Jake has not only proved himself repeatedly, but he has continuously set historic records that speak for themselves.
“As long as Jake continues to exceed expectations, there will always be those who try to discredit his achievements. We embrace the doubt – it only fuels Jake to work harder and achieve greater success,” Bidarian concluded.
