Jake Paul's coach has predicted Andrew Tate will be put "to sleep" if a fight between the pair takes place.
YouTuber-turned boxer Paul and former kickboxer Tate added fuel to the fire over a potential fight as they recently came face-to-face at a boxing gym in Dubai. Paul's manager, Nakisa Bidarian, stood in-between the pair as they locked eyes.
A fight between the high-profile duo has been teased since Tate received huge internet fame at the start of this year, mostly due to his controversial views on women and society.
Paul's lead trainer, BJ Flores, has since weighed in on a potential fight between 'The Problem Child' and Tate as he commented on the video of their staredown: "TOP G about to go to SLEEP. That’s a PROMISE." Flores, a former cruiserweight world title challenger, has served as Paul's coach since he knocked out AnEsonGib in his professional debut.
Paul extended his unbeaten record to six professional fights last month, dropping UFC legend Anderson Silva on the way to a points win. Tate had his last world title fight in kickboxing against Ibrahim El Boustati in 2016, losing by TKO but appealing the decision by stating he was poked in the eye. The four-time champion returned in 2020 to pick up three wins against lower-quality opponents.
Tate has praised Paul's career switch from internet fame to boxing, telling Mirror Fighting : "Jake seems to be a person who is focused on his boxing career and is making his own money, he isn't scared of getting cancelled from a YouTube channel. He has a genuine career that he's taking seriously."

Tate met with Paul's manager, Bidarian, back in August but refused to reveal the nature of their talks. It's unclear if Tate is serious about a comeback fight, insisting that he would have to be the a-side for any fight negotiation due to his unprecedented internet fame. The four-time kickboxing world champion was plagued with eye injuries during his time as an active fighter, but insisted that it wouldn't hinder any possibility of him competing in the ring again.
"It's a matter of making sure the deal gets done correctly," Tate said of a comeback fight. "I'm not going to allow any of these social media clowns to pretend that they're the a-side of negotiations when I'm the most famous man on the planet. They do not deserve more money than me, in fact it's the opposite. If they don't fight me, they fight bums."
