Jake Paul has insisted he won't accept Tommy Fury's latest offer unless his rival's doomed opponent Paul Bamba is paid his fight purse.
The Love Island star has insisted Global Titans, who put on his exhibition bout with Rolly Lambert on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather vs Deji, have a hand in any bout between he and Paul. But the YouTuber-turned-boxer has insisted that he won't work with the promotion, at least until they have paid Bamba.
Bamba was due to face Fury in a light-heavyweight contest as the co-main event of Global Titans' event in Dubai earlier this month. But when the Brit showed up 181.4lb, almost seven pounds heavier than Bamba, he insisted that a new deal was made, ultimately forcing the bout to be scrapped.
And while the promotion have paid Fury in full after the incident, claiming the issue was a contractual error that was the fault of neither man, they have yet to pay Bamba. The American has said that he lost over £30,000 after investing heavily into a training camp in the hopes of upsetting the odds and handing Fury his first defeat, and is now out of pocket.
And Paul believes he should be paid, given that he made his contracted weight, tweeting: "One thing I’m never going to do is do business with people who don’t treat fighters well. Pay Paul Bamba." However, insisting that he won't work with Global Titans could cost him a bout with Fury, who has demanded they are involved in the pair's third attempted fight date.
Fury tweeted over the weekend: " Jake Paul, if you want this fight to happen with me and Global Titans in Feb or March in any location decided by GT, we can have the contracts sent by Wednesday." And when Paul didn't respond, he last night added: "NO RESPONSE to my team from Jake Paul in regards to sorting contracts for this fight. My last tweet until I have some communication from your side."
Paul's Most Valuable Promotions have insisted that they are working with Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions in the hopes of making the fight happen. But they appear not to be keen to work with Global Titans, particularly after the controversy surrounding Fury's bout with Bamba.

There were a number of issues on the night and throughout the promotion in Dubai for the promotion's last event, including multiple issues which threatened to see the main event cancelled. The bout was delayed for over an hour before both men eventually made the walk, with a contractual stumbling block arising over the size of gloves and round length.
And Bamba and Fury were not the only fighters who had issues with contracted weights. Undercard fighters Anthony Taylor and Jack Fincham ended up fighting in an exhibition after an almost identical weight disparity, although the risk factor for Taylor was considerably less than for Bamba given Fincham would have been making his professional debut.
"What happened was just a simple mistake, really," Fincham told IFL TV when asked why the bout was an exhibition, and not his professional debut. "The contracts said two different weights, so me and Anthony just basically agreed on a weight that was in between both, but in future I would obviously be sticking at the same weight.
"It was just a mistake on the weight from both sides, but me and Anthony agreed that we still wanted to make it happen so rather than whinge about it, let's just make it an exhibition. It was purely just a mistake, that was all."
