Jake Paul has thanked WWE star Brock Lesnar for praise of him and his brother Logan's boxing careers, admitting they watched him growing up.
Paul and his brother Logan are continuing to have an increasing influence on the sport of boxing and are leading the new rise of celebrities fighting in the ring.
The 25-year-old has fought against the likes of Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren in his short professional career while his brother Logan shared the ring with Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition bout last year.
Lesnar delivered his praise to Paul when he told the New York Post : “Great for YouTube. I’m happy for those guys. They worked at something. They built their name up. They thought outside the box, they promoted themselves.
Paul has since issued a response on social media, tweeting: "Wow Brock Lesnar supporting my brother and I is crazy, we loved him and used to watch him all the time growing up. GO CHASE YOUR DREAMS TODAY."
Lesnar previously reigned as UFC heavyweight champion with an illustrious career in the promotion and he now plys his trade in the WWE.
Paul's brother Logan has recently been involved with the WWE and Lesnar also revealed he believes the star could make a transition into professional wrestling.
The pair have attracted widespread criticism from many over their role in the sport with Paul frequently revealing his desire to become world champion.
Meanwhile his brother Logan is likely to continue on the exhibition circuit and is lining up another social media bout with Brazilian YouTuber Whindersson.
Several figures inside boxing have been outspoken about the Paul brothers including British heavyweight Anthony Joshua, who believes they deserve credit.
"[He’s] great for boxing. He's trying, zero amateur experience, throwing himself in the deep end," Joshua told iFL TV.

“He'll probably learn a lot more than a lot of fighters, throwing himself in the deep end, putting himself under pressure. Good luck to him."
Paul is currently out of action and is focusing on the promotion of the historic undisputed female clash between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.
The YouTube star is confident his influence will be eventually seen as a positive by everybody and plans to continue to act as a "disruptor" to traditional practices.
"I told my team like I will never attack somebody unless it feels genuine, I will never really start something," Paul said to Eddie Hearn on No Passion No Point. "All of the people that I attack 90 per cent of the people is in response.
"I am definitely a disruptor, I think that is what my main talent is by shaking the tree. Boxing is like taxis and I am coming in with the Uber app. I am trying to come in and put the taxi's out of business and change the way boxing is done."
