Jake Paul could be heading back to Hollywood as well as returning to the boxing ring this year.
The social media star had seemingly given up on pursuing his acting career after a difficult split from the Disney Channel, where he made his name as a star of the show Bizaardvark alongside pop star Olivia Rodrigo. He instead turned to combat sports, where he has amassed a 5-0 professional boxing record, and is planning to return in August.
However, he has teased a potential move back into the acting world, saying that he has a number of projects to announce including a new athlete being signed to his promotional stable Most Valuable Promotions. "Some of the announcements I can't talk about," he teased in an exclusive chat with Mirror Fighting .
"We have a new MVP athlete that we're signing which is pretty awesome and then we're working on something in the Hollywood space. Your boy might be acting but I'm just giving little teasers! We're working on a bunch of new stuff."
Paul has also long teased a move to MMA once he has finished boxing, and admitted that he has been in talks with Bellator, as well as a number of other promotions. Bellator are broadcast by Showtime in the United States, the same network as Paul's last two boxing matches as well as his brother Logan's exhibition with Floyd Mayweather.
"I have a big business launching in the later half of this year that I've been working on for a year," he added. "There's just a lot of really cool stuff going on and hopefully maybe we'll get into the MMA cage and throw some leg kicks on some people.
"There's conversations going on with Bellator about some unique stuff and some other MMA fight leagues as well."

Paul's return to the ring is expected to take place in August, although he has remained coy on who he will fight after an eight-month absence from the ring. He is currently in talks with prospective opponents, but no date, venue or opposition has been decided as yet.
"We don't have a date in August," he explained. "We're talking to a lot of different people, a lot of big names. We need someone with that star power, a big name who can bring in a ton of pay-per-view buys to the table, all of my opponents I've carried the promotion and I'm looking for that big name. We need someone who can be a heavy hitter in the space."
Paul made his professional debut in 2020 against fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib before taking on basketball star Nate Robinson the following November. He then turned his attention to MMA champions Ben Askren and ex-UFC titlist Tyron Woodley last year, and has landed a knockout on all four of his opponents. He first stepped between the ropes in 2018 for a white collar bout with YouTuber Deji.
