Jake Paul offers Will Smith and Chris Rock $30m to fight on boxing undercard after Oscars slap

Jake Paul has jumped on the controversy at the Oscars by offering Will Smith and Chris Rock $15million each to fight on his next boxing undercard in August.

At the awards ceremony on Sunday night, Smith walked up on stage and slapped Rock after the comedian made a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

Never one to miss out on an opportunity for some drama, Paul took to Twitter to make his offer to the pair as he asked for help to get in touch with Smith’s team after a tweet from Impractical Jokers comedian Sal Vulcano.

“I got $15m for Will Smith and $15m for Chris Rock ready to go,” Paul tweeted. “Let’s do it in August on my undercard.”

He added: “Someone get me on the phone with Will Smith’s boxing representative asap.”

The YouTube star-turned-boxer recently announced he would be returning to the ring in August, for what will be his sixth professional bout.

His last fight came in December, when he beat ex-UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley for a second time, though he had originally been due to face Tommy Fury on that date. However, the British fighter pulled out with injury and illness.

Paul might face some competition when it comes to staging a fight between Smith and Rock, though - UFC president Dana White was also impressed with what he saw at the Oscars.

White tweeted: “FINALLY!!!!! there’s an Oscars show worth watching. AND @chrisrock has a chin.”
