Jake Paul wants to fight UFC star Conor McGregor on the same night as a potential rematch between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.
YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul is scheduled to fight McGregor's former UFC opponent Nate Diaz in Dallas, Texas on August 5. 'The Problem Child' has boldly claimed he will do what McGregor couldn't in two fights against Diaz by knocking out the UFC veteran - and he wants a shot against 'Notorious' after that.
"I'm a better boxer than you Conor and will do what you couldn’t and knock Nate out," Paul wrote. "After Nate let’s box as the co-main event same night as Katie Taylor VS. Amanda Serrano in Dublin, but since you’re not your own boss you will hide behind Dana [White, UFC president] or just drink the rest of your life away. August 5 you will see."

Taylor and Serrano were set to rematch on May 20 in Dublin one year on from their first meeting in New York, which Taylor won by split decision. An injury forced Serrano, who is managed by Paul's Most Valuable Promotions, out of the rematch but the rivals are expected to meet again later this year.
Diaz makes his boxing debut against Paul but is not short on experience in the ring having previously sparred with the likes of Andre Ward and Regis Prograis. McGregor recently gave a prediction for Diaz's fight with Paul in which he told Inside Fighting: “I think Nate Diaz slaps the head off him and I look forward to seeing it!”
McGregor has been complimentary of Diaz since their two meeting in the UFC, with the scores between the rivals currently at one apiece. After spending over 15 years fighting for the promotion, Diaz parted ways with the UFC last September after tapping out Tony Ferguson in his final fight. Diaz has hinted he will make his UFC return after facing Paul and McGregor is confident he will face his rival for the third time.
“I’ll get that again. That trilogy will happen at some stage, for sure,” McGregor said on The MMA Hour. “We must fight. We’re one apiece, it’s a great rivalry, and it was a great fight. We gotta square that away, for sure. Am I a person not to get the fights made and done and happen? When I say, it happens."
