Jake Paul is keen to put on the "biggest women's fight in UK history" after watching Savannah Marshall dethrone Franchon Crews-Dezurn for the undisputed super-middleweight title last month.
Controversial YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul is currently in camp for his own ring return against Nate Diaz later this summer, but was watching closely from home as Marshall picked up the belts in Manchester. And Mirror Fighting can confirm that the American has committed to making a major promotional push if Marshall honours the mandatory challenge of Shadasia Green.
Paul's Most Valuable Promotions take care of Green, who it is feared could be pushed aside in favour of a massive undisputed vs undisputed rematch between Marshall and Claressa Shields. The famed multiple-weight champion was in the AO Arena for last night's title fight, which the Brit won by a close majority decision.
MVP have confirmed to Mirror Fighting that Paul will come to the United Kingdom and fully promote a bout between Marshall and Green as he did when his charge Amanda Serrano took on Katie Taylor in Madison Square Garden last year for the undisputed lightweight title.
Mirror Fighting have been told that Paul "looks forward to working with Sky Sports on the fight and making it the biggest women’s fight in UK history." That honour is currently held by Marshall and Shields, who packed out the O2 in London last October in their middleweight title clash.
Such a deal would see Paul's return to Sky Sports for the first time since his professional debut in January 2020. He defeated fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib in Miami on the undercard of Demetrius Andrade vs Luke Keeler to kickstart his ring career with a first round stoppage.
Paul went on a world tour to promote Taylor vs Serrano that included a stop in London and multiple trips to New York, where he went head-to-head with Eddie Hearn. He has a complicated relationship with British fans; his two biggest rivals are Tommy Fury and YouTube boxer KSI from Manchester and London respectively.

He and Serrano, along with business partner Nakisa Bidarian, are working to get Green to a similar level of stardom as the featherweight champion. She had her first fight under the promotion's banner in February when she stopped former unified title holder Elin Cederroos.
Green claims that she was told she wouldn't be allowed to sit ringside by promoters, and opted not to travel to watch the fight despite being mandatory with three of the four governing bodies. "I’ll be tuned in tonight," she tweeted. "Won’t be present - promoter refused to allow me ringside or in the ring! Me and my team will continue to shock the world and break down barriers for sure."
After the event, she wrote that "they wanna keep me out so bad it’s sad!" Paul himself took to Twitter to add: "Don’t know who this promoter on Sky Sports Boxing is, but [WBC President Mauricio Sulamain] has guaranteed that Shadasia Green is next for Savannah Marshall. Claressa Shields will have to wait and fight the winner and that will be a mega fight she deserves."
