Jake Paul has dismissed a warning from UFC legend Chael Sonnen over his repeated call-outs of ex-middleweight champion Michael Bisping.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer appears to have set his sights on a seemingly impossible clash with the Brit, and has been going back-and-forth with Bisping over social media in recent days. Bisping has a series of injuries, most notably the complete lack of vision in his right eye, that would make him unable to be sanctioned in most States, but that hasn't stopped the pair teasing a fight.
And Sonnen has warned Paul that injuries or not, the former UFC world champion is not the kind of person with him the YouTuber should be joking around. Bisping is a famously hard-hitting fighter, and despite taming his image in recent years as a broadcaster, was known as one of the more violent competitors in the sport during his prime.
" Jake Paul has called out Michael Bisping, I don't hate that," Sonnen said during a video posted to his Twitter page. "Now, Jake Paul did say as part of his call-out 'if you can go and get licensed'.
"I can tell you first hand, Michael Bisping is in great shape and I can tell you another thing; there are some guys that you play with and some guys that you don't. Don't play with Michael Bisping. Do not say his name unless you truly are willing to fight him."
Paul responded to Sonnen's video, simply saying: "I’m playing with him and his nuts." It's the latest in a string of bizarre call-outs from the YouTuber, who claimed he wanted to eat Bisping's eyeball in another outrageous video.
"So Bisping's come at me at Twitter saying I'll never win a championship and I'll never earn the respect of the fight community," Paul said in a Twitter video directed at the Brit. "And he might be right. You can't pay your rent or your mortgage with the championship belt or with respect so quite frankly I don't give a f***.
"When I was crying earlier, after he tweeted me, I was sobbing... I started to wipe my tears away with the $50million I made last year. With my last fight, by the time round three was over I'd made more money than he made in his whole career, so I get why he's mad; I'm the new kid on the block talking all this s***."

And after reading off a news story in which Bisping praised his boxing prowess, Paul added: "Here are the two things I want to point out;. a) Tyron Woodley was a five-time UFC champion and look what happened and b) Michael Bisping has paid me respect.
"Suspicious... so does this mean you respect me Michael? I think it does. You're swallowing your own words - I want to swallow your eye ball, pop that thing out for me daddy."
Bisping and Sonnen fought in January of 2012, with the American coming out on the right end of a razor-close decision. But he would later declare that he had never been hit harder than when he fought the Manchester native.
