Jake Paul described as 'Kake Paul' in RTE Six One News error

RTE One viewers saw the funny side this evening as boxing promoter Jake Paul was introduced on screen as 'Kake Paul'.

The RTE Six One news ran a segment on the well-publicised fight between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, for which there was a press conference today in London.

Bray boxer Taylor is set to take on Serrano at Madison Square Garden on April 30, and the latter is now represented by Paul, the prominent YouTuber-turned-boxer who launched his promotions company last year.

However, when the news segment cut to a clip of Paul's comments at today's press conference, his name appeared on screen as 'Kake Paul', rather than Jake in what was an unfortunate typo.

And it didn't take long for viewers to take notice and chime in on the blunder via Twitter.

MMA writer Ben Fowlkes responded to a tweet which jokingly implied that fellow writer Chad Dundas had written the typo himself.

He said: "Oh man, Chad only wishes he could have come up with something as good as Kake Paul."

Meanwhile, another picked up on the mistake and commented on how well 'Kake' had done for himself.

They tweeted: "Kake Paul has done well for himself."

Among many others finding the funny side, another Twitter user kept it simple and praised the boxing promoter.

The tweet read: "Good lad Kake Paul!"

Paul has been enjoying a whirlwind start to life as a promoter with his recently-formed company Most Valuable Promotions, with the addition of Serrano a major coup.

Taylor and Serrano's showdown is set to be one of female boxing's largest ever spectacles, with the fight recently becoming the second-highest boxing presale in Madison Square Garden history.
