Jake Paul has been offered a match-up for his MMA debut with former two-time cruiserweight boxing champion Mairis Briedis throwing his hat in the ring.
Briedis spent a large portion of his last reign atop the cruiserweight division attempting and failing to engage in a feud with Paul. For his part, the social media star largely ignored his outlandish attempts to start a rivalry which included tattooing himself with a message for the YouTuber.
But the former champion now has an offer on the table that could entice Paul into considering a fight, telling him that he would gladly take up MMA for one night in order to get the fight. The American announced earlier this month that he would be joining PFL and making his cage debut, but has yet to attract a reasonable opponent.
Speaking with Mirror Fighting after Misfits Boxing's event on Saturday night where he cornered Luis Pineda, Briedis had a message for Paul, saying: "Jake, show England you're not fake! Last time when I tried Prime [his brother Logan's beverage] I felt your blood a little bit from your brother.
"I think I can feel the same thing from you. Let's see what we can do, we both eat our opponents with big energy and if you're not afraid to make a real fight and come here. Even in MMA, no problem if you want that, for one night I'll learn MMA and I will go out, no problem."

Briedis lost his world title in a razor-close and bruising encounter with Jai Opetaia last year after spending a large amount of time calling out Paul. The fighter has released a diss track on the social media star, as well as a number of videos over the early few months of 2022, even inking a tattoo about "Jake's Bad Karma".
Paul generally ignored his advances, mistakenly referring to him as "Mario" during a series of interviews last year and showing disinterest in his efforts to engage in a rivalry. In one last roll of the dice, Briedis appeared at a show dressed up as Super Mario to do TV commentary, but again was unable to gain major traction.
A bout in the MMA cage would, however, be an interesting one between the pair. Paul has a background in wrestling which could nullify Briedis' far superior boxing. And with further training, seeing the pair compete out of their ring comfort zones could make for an interesting meeting.
