Jake Paul agreed to pay rapper $1million for planned Tommy Fury ring walk

Rapper Lil Durk claims he was going to be paid $1million to walk Jake Paul to the ring for his seemingly doomed fight with Tommy Fury.

It is looking increasingly likely that Paul and Fury will once again have to cancel their upcoming fight, which was scheduled for August 6. And the YouTube star was planning to pull out all the stops for his first time headlining at one of boxing's most historic arenas; Madison Square Garden, including a live musical performance.

Lil Durk, the multi-platinum rapper behind hits such as 'What Happened To Virgil' and 'AHHH HA', expressed his disappointment on social media with the news of the supposed cancellation. He claims that he was scheduled to pocket a seven-figure sum to be involved in Pauk's ring walk.

"Damn," he said in an Instagram comment under a post about the fight being called off. "I was finna [sic] get a M to walk Jake out, smh [shaking my head]."

Paul has been pulling out all of the stops to assure Fury makes it to America for their second scheduled bout, but it is looking less likely that the fight will be able to take place. The Love Island star, 8-0 as a professional boxer, was turned away at Heathrow Airport on Monday for reasons relating to his ESTA.

But according to Paul, he has not pushed the issue when it comes to getting an Embassy appointment in the hopes of securing an expedited working visa. Both his brother; world heavyweight champion Tyson, and dad John are banned from the United States for different reasons, but it was believed that Tommy's representatives had secured his travel.

Now, the fight is in dire jeopardy, with Paul telling fans that he plans to move on from Fury as a prospective opponent. He is on the lookout for a new rival with just over a month to go until the event, but as yet it remains to be seen who he will face.

"Tommy Fury is in hiding," he wrote in a tweet. "B**** made. Tyson Fury's lawyer never got back to my team on setting up escrow for our $1million bet. Never believed in his brother. Instructed my team to do a Hova [rapper Jay-Z ] and move On To The Next One."

A number of undercard fights were already confirmed for the pay-per-view event, including the return of Amanda Serrano in the co-headliner. Serrano is set for a featherweight title fight against Brenda Carabajal, while young prospect Ashton Sylve is also due to be on the card.

"Tommy is showing no urgency," Paul said in an earlier update. "He hasn't gone [to the Embassy] yet, he's not communicating with us on what he's doing. Is this another case of Tommy Fumbles being scared to fight me? I think that's what it is. I think the Fury family is trying to manipulate something here to make me fight in the UK. Okay, you want me to fight in the UK? Show me $15million.
